In Tomes of Christmas, symbols express their maximum potential when 5 identical ones line up on the same winning line. Free Spins with expandable special symbol

When the Free Spins mode starts, the game randomly selects one of the symbols in the paytable - except for the Red or Yellow Gift Boxes - which takes on the role of a special symbol for the duration of the feature.
After normal winnings have been paid out, if there are enough of these symbols on the screen to generate at least one winning combination, the special symbol expands across the entire height of the reels on which it appeared and the win is calculated as if it occupied all the positions involved on the 10 paylines, significantly increasing the potential of each spin.
